  • 2 ounces of Vodkaย โ€“ Any vodka will do, though preferably not flavored

  • ยฝ ounce Fresh Lime Juiceย โ€“ We want fresh lime juice. So grab some limes and get to squeezing

  • 4 ounces Ginger Beerย โ€“ You can find ginger beer in any grocery store. Itโ€™s (usually) non-alcoholic

  • 2 sprigs of Mint leavesย โ€“ Having some of these around comes handy for all sorts of drinks like the mojito, for instance (another refreshing favorite)

  • Wedges or Slices of Limeย -This, along with the mint leaves, serve as a beautiful garnish

  • Crushed Iceย โ€“ You can make some crushed ice by placing it in a paper towel andย hammeringย away at it (see what I did there)

  • Copper Mugย โ€“ Again, if you donโ€™t have copper mugs, stop reading and click this link to get your copper mugs. Youโ€™re going to want two of these on deck at all times.

  • Fill your copper mug with crushed ice.
  • Add vodka and ginger beer.
